I wanted to experiment with VDB based modeling and at the same time try to create some assets using Houdini from start to finish for all stages of the creation process. I went at it by creating a procedural modeling classic, the rock generator. I found the workflow very flexible and fun to work with and will likely use it a lot in the future.
The side rocks are created entirely in Houdini both the textures and meshes and are thus live and can be manually or randomly tweaked.
*The middle rock is however textured with "Quixels Megascans library" to try the workflow with premade textures.
